Description:
SBTJM®-II
Water-Reducing and Set-Retarding
Admixture is a synthetic powder
based on beta-sulphonate
formaldehyde condensate and reactive
polymer. It has the properties of
high range water reduction,
set-retarding and excellent
strengthening. SBTJM®-II
is suitable to middle-strength or
high-strength concrete where high
range water reduction and
set-retarding is desired. SBTJM®-II
is formulated to comply with the
following specification for concrete
admixture: ASTM494, Type D; BS EN
934:2/3.2.11.
Features and Benefits:
1. High water reduction:
Tested according to ASTMC494, the
water reduction rate can be above
around 20%.
2. High strengthening
effect: Compared with
ordinary concrete, the strength of
concrete with SBTJM®-II
at the age of 28 days can be
improved by 35~60%, at the age of 90
days can be improved by 20%.
3. Outstanding
set-retarding: it can
retard the initial and final set
time by range of 6-20 hours. The
specific set time can be modified
according to the site requirement.
4. Good workability:
It can provide high slump-retaining
and very low slump loss effects.
SBTJM®-II improves
workability and pumpability with no
bleeding and segregation.
5. Low hydration heat:
Compound with those if pure cement
paste, the time when peak of
hydration heat appears is delayed by
24 hours. Moreover, the hydration
heat of paste at third-day age is
only 1/5 of that of pure paste
tested by DTA.
6. Wide compatibility:
SBTJM®-II is
adaptable to different types of
cement and other admixtures such as
air-entraining agent, retarder.
7. Excellent durability:
SBTJM®-II can effectively
improve the durability of concrete,
such as carbonization resistance and
freeze-thaw resistance.
8. Convenience for use:
It can be added directly
into concrete or dissolved
beforehand into liquid state. It
matches the requirements of
different application conditions or
mixer types.
Usage:Addition
rate:
The
normal range of SBTJM®-II
addition rate is 0.4~0.6% by weight
of cementitious materials. The
addition amount depends on the
required degree of retardation under
job conditions. Longer setting time
or higher ambient temperature
requires higher addition rates and
conversely the addition rate will be
lower than normal.

Packaging:
SBTJM®-II
is packed in the waterproofing
double-layer plastic bag and the net
weight is 25Kg per bag. It doesn¨t
degenerate within its shelf life.
Pay attention not to stave the bag
and keep waterproofing during the
storage and transportation. If it is
wetted into agglomeration, it can be
crushed into powder before use and
has no influence on the
performances.

Reducing Admixture
Description:
SBTJM®-C
High-range Water Reducing Admixture
is a powder of beta-sulphonate
formaldehyde condensate. The Na2SO4
content is within 7-9%, and almost
no chloride exists. It has the
properties of non-air-entraining,
high-range water reducing and
strengthening effects. It is in
particular suitable to produce
concrete with the requirement of
high water reduction, and high-early
strength. It can also be used as the
water-reducing ingredient of
composite concrete admixtures. SBTJM®-C
is formulated to comply with the
following specification for concrete
admixture: ASTMC494, Type F; BS EN
934:2/3.2.3.
Features and Benefits:
1. High water reduction:
Tested
according to ASTMC494, the water
reduction is around 18% at the
addition rate of 0.5% by the total
weight of cementitious materials.
2. Superplasticizing:
The
addition of SBTJM®-C effectively
improves the fluidity of the
concrete and reduces the bleeding
and segregation tendency of
concrete. Therefore it greatly
improves the workability of the
concrete and makes the concrete easy
for pumping and compacting.
3. High strength:
At the
addition rate of 0.5%, it can
improve the compressive strength of
concrete at the ages of 3d, 7d and
28d by the percentage between that
of SBTJM®-A and SBTJM®-B.
4. Little change of set time:
It
has little influence on the initial
and final setting time of the
concrete. The set-time difference
between concrete with SBTJM®-C and
control concrete is normally within
one hour.
5. Wide range of application
temperature:
The
suitable ambient temperature for
application ranges from -5≧ to +45≧.
6. Excellent durability:
The
addition of SBTJM®-C can effectively
improve the pore structure of the
concrete and increase the durability
such as impermeability, carbonation
resistance and frost resistance.
7. Convenience for use:
It can
be added directly into concrete or
dissolved beforehand into liquid
state. It matches the requirements
of different application conditions
or mixer types.

High-range Water Reducing Admixture
is a powder of beta-sulphonate
formaldehyde condensate. The Na2SO4
content is less than 2.5%, and
almost no chloride exists. It has
the properties of
non-air-entraining, high-range water
reducing and strengthening effects.
It is in particular suitable to
produce concrete with the
requirement of high water reduction,
and low Na2SO4 content. It can also
be used as the water-reducing
ingredient of composite concrete
admixtures. SBTJM®-B is formulated
to comply with the following
specification for concrete
admixture: ASTMC494, Type F; BS EN
934:2/3.2.3.
Features and Benefits:

Tested

strength. SBTJM®-A is formulated to

admixture: ASTMC494, Type F; BS EN
934-2/3.2.2,3.2.7.
Features and Benefits:
1. High water reduction:
Tested
according to ASTMC494, the water
reduction is around 16% at the
addition rate of 0.5% by the total
weight of cementitious materials.
2. Superplasticizing:
The
addition of SBTJM®-A effectively
improves the fluidity of the
concrete and reduces the bleeding
and segregation tendency of
concrete. Therefore it improves the
workability of the concrete and
makes the concrete easy for pumping
and compacting.
3. High strength:
At the
addition rate of 0.5%, it can
improve the compressive strength of
concrete at the ages of 3d, 7d and
28d by 65%~75%, 45%~55%, 25%~35%
respectively. Especially, the early
compressive strength at age of 1d
can be enhanced by 170%.

normally within one hour.
