Application

This method is applicable to the edible oil pollution, toxic residue incorporation and rapid detection of soybean oil Pakistan.

The method of the principle

Croton oil mixed with the heated alkaline solution, the junction of the two fluids will have a reddish-brown ring, croton oil as one of the items identified. The detection limit was 2.5%.

The method of operation

Take a test tube, and add 3mL croton oil test solution. take another test tube, add into 1mL oil sample, then add 5mL anhydrous ethanol solution to thoroughly mixed, put this solution slowly to added along the tube wall to be filled with the tube of differential croton oil test solution, send this tube to be heating in 40 ≧ ~ 50 ≧ warm water for 30minutes, and then remove it and observe. At the same time do not contain a known oil croton oil of the same type of experiment to observe the blank control.

Results judgment

If the interface of two liquid appears brown ring, that means the existence of the croton oil. With the increasing of the croton oil content, the color ring will change from reddish brown to brownish black.

Cotton seed oil, rapeseed oil, soybean oil sometimes produce light red ring, they are different with the croton oil produced reddish-brown rings, should be note.

When founding the samples are positive, should be further confirmed by other methods.

Product storage and Validity: the reagent should be stored at normal temperature and avoid the sunlight. The period of validity is one year.
