Brief introduction

Clenbuterol, CLE is an adrenergic receptor agonist. Because the drug can increase lean rate, reduce fat deposition and promote animal growth. It is used by some farmers and farming livestock farming enterprises as accelerant. Human have eat the fed clenbuterol as an additive produced livestock products, the clenbuterol residues can pose significant health hazards of consumers.

Test principle

Clenbuterol Rapid Test Card is a rapid test reagent. It is using immune competition analysis principles combined with colloidal gold labeling technique designed specifically for fast detection of clenbuterol in urine samples. Has a simple and fast, without special equipment, and can be used both in the laboratory, but also in the pig farm, slaughter plant and other site measured. As the needs of small sample size, simple and fast, it is suitable for screening large number of samples. Results are accurate, the sensitivity is 5ppb, and accuracy is greater than 95%.

Sample handling

1. Urine sample: Urine can be used directly for test. If the urine was turbid state, first should use the filter paper and the supernatant (clear part) for detection.

2. Organization: taken 4g pieces tissue samples (mess/to fat) in a large tube, add 1ml diluents, tightly closed tube cap.

3. To put the centrifuge tube containing the sample into the micro boiling water bath for 10 minutes, draw the right amount of tissue fluid to precipitate 1.5mL centrifuge tube, 4000rpm centrifuge 1min, the supernatant is the tested sample solution.

Operation steps

1 Remove the reagents from the original bag, opened flat on the desktop, as soon as possible in one hour use.

2. The sample solution is to be seized with a dropper, and dropwise 3 drops to the sample holes, then begin to time.

3. To determine the result in 3-5 minutes, the determination is invalid if more than 10 minutes to determine.

Negative (-): T line (test line, close to the hole at one end of sample) color, indicating that the concentration of clenbuterol in the sample below 5ng/ml, or without clenbuterol.

Positive (+): T line is no color, that concentration of clenbuterol in the sample than 5ng/ml.

Invalid: not present C line (control line), may have been improper operation or failure of test strips. Should carefully read the instructions again, and with the new board re-test reagents.

Storage conditions

1. store at 4-30℃ cool dark dry place, avoid freezing.

2. operation under 4-30℃ ambient temperature.

3. See the box for the valid date.

4. During storage should avoid the light, moisture and heat.

5. Detection of card shelf life is 12 months.

Notes

1. Do not use the expired reagents board.

2. single-use reagent plates, the waste should be properly handled.

3. Do not touch the white membrane in the reagent plate center.

4. Urine dropper can not be mixed, to avoid cross-infection.

5. Urine samples with containing bleach, strong oxidants or putrid urine sample may interfere with detection.

6. Avoid too high or too low a temperature test, where appropriate shorten the detection time in high temperature, low temperature appropriate to extend the detection time. It is proposed return to room temperature testing.

7. Because differences in urine, some test line may be subdued or color dim, but as long as there lines for the negative results can be judged.

8. Specimen’s results appear positive, it is recommended to use test reagent or GC-MS to review.
