Product Introduction
Test principle
Illegal added the formaldehyde in food
can react with the test reagent to
produce the purple product. The depth of
purple color is proportional to the
formaldehyde residual of the sample.
Therefore, the sample solutions of
aquatic products and water soaking
products to be added this test reagent,
the reaction appears obvious purple
color, it indicates that the samples may
be soaked formalin. The proposed method
is use the acetylacetone to do the
quantitative experiments further.
Protein, fat, amino acids, sugars,
acetaldehyde, propionaldehyde, methanol,
ethanol, sulfate, sulphurous acid
(hydrogen) salt and sulfur dioxide and
other food components or structural
analogues do not interfere with this
test method.
Specification: 100 times.
Storage: normal temperature, avoid from
sunlight.
Packing: test solution A: 1 bottle, test
solution B: 1 bottle, test solution C: 1
bottle.
Period validity: 6 months.
Usage
1. Aquatic products, water soaking foods
and a variety of liquid foods: general
the aquatic products and water soaking
foods all have the percolate or soaking,
can directly sampling test.
Test method: first, add one drop of test
solution A and one drop of test solution
B to the hole of multihole colorimetric
cylinder, and then use 0.5ml straw to
draw 0.5ml (about 10 drops) of the
percolate or soaking to the hole. Shake
and mix it (preferably rabbling mix).
After one minute add one drop of test
solution C to the hole, and observe the
color changing, refer the color card to
judge the results.
2. Other food: Take a small amount of
the sample into the 10ml beaker (about l
/ 3 cup), slightly cut into pieces, then
add the same amount of clean tap water,
soak 10-20 minutes, during which
stirring several times. Then use the
0.5ml pipette to soak 0.5ml (10 drops)
test, the test method described as same
as above.
Results judgment
If the response results of the solution
was colorless or yellow, indicating that
the samples were not polluted by
formaldehyde (formalin), if the reaction
results showed a purple solution,
indicating that the sample matrix soaked
in formaldehyde (formalin), the darker
the higher content, if the color was
very pale purple, no one is recommended
as added formaldehyde (formalin) or
extend the sample extraction and
reaction time, and do test again.

1. During the detection, the test
solution A and test solution B should be
mixed enough with the sample solution in
the multihole of colorimetric cylinder,
otherwise the test result may not appear
perfect even produce false negative
result.
2. After each time using multihole
colorimetric cylinder and other
containers, should dry the liquid of the
inter hole and clean it three times with
the water, then dry it for standby.
3. Stored reagents Long times, first,

added test solution, then should stop
using it.
